The Herald Sun is predicting
a convincing win for Robert Doyle in this weekend’s election for Lord Mayor of
Melbourne.
The Greens are expected to
come a distant second with less than 20% of the vote and Phil Cleary estimated
to poll in the low teens. However Cleary team member and market trader, Michael
Caiafa, is given a chance of securing a position as a City Councillor.
These predictions are based
on early scrutineering and it will be a week or so before official results come
out and we know the full make up of Council.
