Harry The Calypso King was a key performer in the
Trader's Giveaway promotion leading into Christmas 2014. Apart from a couple of gigs at the special Sunday markets in the top end he has been absent from our market since. But this
weekend we got the full treatment as he entertained his way up every aisle in
the market, much to the delight of traders and customers. Harry's brand of
foot-tapping, easy listening music seems well suited to our market environment.
QVMAC Trader Representatives have asked management for another
Trader Giveaway event and July school holidays looks to be the target. The
event will require trader commitment before it goes ahead and we hope to have
details soon including a re-vamped program of two draws per day and a shopping-voucher-only prize (no cash). Full details to come.
